Lundi soir dernier, un peu avant 20h, le ciel c'est soudain chargé le gros nuages lourds et très noirs, accompagnés de grosses rafales de vent. Puis, ce fut l'orage tant attendu.Last Monday evening, a little before 8h, the sky suddenly became all covered with big black clouds, and the wind was very strong. Then, it was the rainstorm we were waiting for.
La pluie a raffraîchi la température et nous nous sommes assises, moi et ma fille, sur le balcon. J'ai alors remarqué qu'il y avait beaucoup de flaques d'eau très intéressantes, alors je suis descendue et, de l'église qui est en face de chez nous, j'ai pris la photo ci-dessus. C'est le commerce du coiffeur pour hommes qui habite dans la maison d'à côté.Ensuite, les éclairs se sont mis à éclairer le ciel. J'ai bien essayé d'en photographier, mais une petite pluie m'a bientôt fait rentrer à l'appartement. Les éclairs n'étaient malheureusement pas bien situés par rapport à l'appartement. J'étais vraiment frustrée,... mais je vous guarantie qu'avant la fin de l'été, je réussis à photographier des éclairs!
The rain had refresh the temperature, so me and my daughter sat on the veranda. Then, I saw that there was many water puddles, very interresting, so I decided to go down and, from the church that's in front of where I live, I take the picture above. It's the barber shop of the guy living in the house just aside.
Then, the lightning began to enlight the sky. I tried to take some pics, but a little rain began and forced me to return to the apartment. I was really frustrated,... but I guaranty you that before the end of summer, I will have some lightning pics to show!

Il a plu une bonne partie de la soirée et de la nuit. La photo ci-dessus fut prise vers les 23h15. Une autre grosse rafale de vent m'avait obligé à fermer toutes les fenêtres, les éclairs faisaient rage. Je n'avais jamais vu un tel orage, on aurait dit une mini tempête tropicale, c'était vraiment impressionnant. Par chance, ça n'a pas duré trop longtemps et nous n'avons pas manqué d'électricité, mais le renvoi d'eau de mon bain s'est mis à faire de drôles de bruit, je crois que les égoûts avaient de la misère à évacuer toute cette eau. Quant à la photo ci-dessous, elle fut prise un peu plus tard, avec un temps de pause de 6 secondes. Les couleurs sont dues aux éclairs qu'il y avait dans le ciel.It rain a lot all evening and part of the night. The picture above was made around 11h15. Another big blast had forced me to close all the windows, the lightning were continuous. I had never seen a rainfall like that one, it was looking like a small tropical storm, it was really impressionning. Fortunately, it didn't last long and the electricity had no breakdown, but the drain in my bathtub made some really strange sounds, I think that the city pipes were having some difficulties to evacuate all that water. About the picture below, it was done a little bit later, with a timing of 6 seconds. The colours are because of the lightning there was in the sky.
