Enfin, le jour de la grande récolte est arrivé... comme si ces demoiselles étaient en manque de bonbons...

Et ce soir, elles ont fait leur tournée comme des grandes, alors je suis partie de mon côté, et je me suis amusée à faire de la photo... pas très longtemps car il s'est mis à pleuvoir. Ma récolte de photos n'a donc pas été très grande, mais j'ai trouvé quelque chose que je voyais pour la première fois: un décor d'Halloween avec manequin vivant. En effet, le jeune homme photographié ci-dessous s'était tous bonnement harnaché, la tête en bas, pour faire une bonne peur aux enfants. Il m'a gentiment permis de prendre sa photo.

And tonight, they decided to go by themselves, like big girls, so I went on my side and I tried to make some good pictures... but not very long because the rain began to fall. So I didn't do much, exept that I found something I saw for the first time: Halloween decoration made with a living creature. The young man you see on the pics below decided to put himself upside down, and give children a little BOOOAAAH. He nicely accept that I take some pics of him.

Dans l'après-midi, nous sommes allés voir les oies au Cap-Tourmente. C'est la saison pour les observer ainsi que pour les chasser. C'est vraiment un endroit magique! J'ai pris 124 photos d'oies... hmmm, un peu beaucoup! En voici une, et cette semaine, vous en verrez d'autres...

In the afternoon, we went to see the gooses at Cap-Tourmente. It's the ideal season for observation, and also for hunting. It's really a magical place! I took 124 pictures of gooses... hmmm, a little bit too much I think! So, this is one, and later this week, I'll show you some more...

Un héron à Québec, "sur" la Rivière Saint-Charles!A heron in Québec, on the St. Charles River!

À la fin du mois d'août, en revenant de travailler, j'ai vu ce bel oiseau qui semblait marcher sur les eaux de la Rivière Saint-Charles, à Québec. Il y a plusieurs espèces d'oiseaux à cet endroit, dont le cormoran. J'avais tout d'abord cru que c'en était un. Ce n'est que quelques jours plus tard que je me suis rendu compte que ce bel oiseau, qui déambulait gracieusement sur la rivière était un héron. Depuis quelques années, il me semble qu'en ville, on observe plus de variété dans les espèces d'oiseaux qu'auparavent. C'est peut-être dû au fait que les berges de la rivière ont été réaménagées? Chouette pour les photographes!

At the end of August, I was coming back from work and I saw that beautiful bird who seems to be walking on the waters of the St. Charles River, in Québec city. There is many species of birds that live at this place, specially a lot of cormorants. I first thought it was one of those. Then, some days after, I realized that this bird, who was gracefully walking on the surface of water, was a heron. I really have the feeling that since they have done a big job at the shores of the river, the is much new different species of birds that come in the city. Nice for the photographers!

QUEEN MARY 2

Hier, le Queen Mary 2 était dans le Port de Québec! J'ai donc décidé de prendre une pause dans l'après-midi, et je suis allée poser cette gigantesque ville flottante. Vous avez ci-dessus un des premiers coup d'oeil que j'ai eu sur le bateau. J'ai voulu montrer le bateau "dans" la ville de Québec, c'est-à-dire avec une vue sur des édifices typiques de Québec. Un des premiers aspect du bateau que j'ai remarqué lors de sa première visite il y a deux ans, c'est bien sûr sa grosseur, mais surtout qu'il dépasse en hauteur la plupart des édifices de Québec, tant en basse-ville qu'à la haute-ville.

Yesterday, the Queen Mary 2 was in the Old Port of Québec! So I decided to take a little break in the afternoon, and I went and took some pics of that gigantic floating city. On the pic above, you can see one of the first sight I had of the boat. I wanted to show the Queen Mary 2 "inside" Québec City, I mean with some of the beautiful architecture of Québec. When I first saw that boat two year's ago, on its first visit to Québec City, it impress me very much because it is so big, of course, but mostly because in fact, it was much taller than most of the buildings of Québec, from the lower and also the upper town.

GROS, GROS, GROS! J'ai pris trois photos que j'ai présentées en panorama. Oui, le Queen Mary 2 est vraiment gros!

Il existe des tas de belles photos du bateau, alors j'ai voulu en faire quelques unes un peu différentes. Ci-dessus, en reflet dans une belle fenêtre, avec mon autoportrait en prime.

Salon du livre ancien de Montréal.The Montréal Antiquarian Book Fair.

OK, I MADE A MISTAKE... I WAS JUST LATE FOR THE CONTEST... BUT I WONDER WHAT KIND OF WIND CHIME THOSE WOULD MAKE... :O)

Ce Salon avait lieu en fin de semaine et, bien sûr, j'y étais. Endroit rêvé pour faire une photo pour ma participation au concours JorjDotOrg Photohunt, dont le thème cette semaine était "something old". Et j'ai finalement opté pour une photo des plus vieux livres de mon propre kiosque. Je peux vous assurer que tous les volumes sur cette photo datent entre 1664 et 1866. La série du haut est de 1810, et les livres du bas sont, de gauche à droite, de 1839, 1767 (2 vol.), 1753, 1740, 1784 (2 vol.), 1664 et 1866. Voilà!

This Book Fair was last week-end and, of course, I was there. The ideal place to make some pic for my participation at the JorjDotOrg Photohunt contest. This week theme was "something old". And I finally decided to take pics of the oldest books of my own bookstand. I can assure you that all the books on that pic are dating between 1664 and 1866. The top collection was published in 1810, and the books at the bottom are, from left to right, from 1839, 1767 (2 vol.), 1753, 1740, 1784 (2 vol.), 1664 and 1866. That's it!
