Les papillons sont arrivés!
Butterflies are here!

Phoebis philea

It's already eight years that, in the "Centre Jardins Hamel" in Québec, we have the chance to see magnificent butterflies. Those newly-hatched butterflies can flutter about freely in a tropical aviary which recreates their natural habitat.

Morpho peleides

Siproeta stelenes

Some butterflies are not easy to identify! But one thing that I really enjoyed, was that it was so easy to take them in our hands.

Many butterflies come and land down on us. Here, a blue morpho is gently tickling my neck...
It really was a magical moment. If you ever heard of an event of that sort, go for it!

Nice shots. You look relaxed and happy Clo. Don't those butterflies tickle though?

We have a museum like that here. I think I should go again.
Magic Wings- thanks for reminding me!

The mental image of Mr Fab wearing butterfly dust as lip color is a hoot- non?

dreamwalker: Thanks! A friend of mine told me that the butterflies may come on us if we were wearing some vivid colors. But I saw a man with a grey shirt and there was three butterflies on him, so...

You have beautiful photos here. I like how absorbed your daughter appears with the butterflies she is holding. It's neat to see pictures of mother/daughter spending time and doing activities together.
