Vraiment SUPER trippant!!!!This is really SUPER!!!!!

Voici une de mes photos, exposée à Lausanne!!! En effet, grâce à l'initiative du Musée de l'Elysée, cinq de mes photos ont été présentées lors de l'exposition "Tous photographes!", parmi plusieurs milliers d'autres. Il suffit d'envoyer les photos en passant par leur site, ils les exposent, et nous envoient des photos où l'on voit le moment où notre photo est exposée. Sur les cinq photos que j'ai reçues, voici la seule où il y avait un spectateur... Bon, quand même, c'est pas si mal... Je me demande d'ailleurs, comme Heather, ce qu'il peut bien penser...

Here's one of my pics, exhibited at Lausanne!!! Yes, due to the Musée de l'Elysée, five of my pics were presented during the exhibition "We are all photographers now!", with probably thousands of others... You just have to send them your pics, for that you go on their site (there's some explanations in english too), and after a while, they will send you some pics showing the moment when yours had been exhibited. I send them five, and this is the only one where there's somebody watching... Well, it's not so bad... And, like Heather, I wonder what he could possibly be thinking...

Depuis longtemps, j'ai le projet de faire des photos de frigos. En effet, avec tous les aimants qui existent, nos réfrigérateurs deviennent le reflet de notre âme... ou du moins de certaines de nos occupations! Alors voici de frigo-portrait! En espérant que ceci deviendra une mode sur blogger... Allez! Tous à vos frigos, et.... cliq!

Since a long time ago, I had a project: making pics of fridges. Because of all the magnets that exist, our fridges have become our soul reflection... or at least of some of our occupations! Un défi...A challenge...

Hier, sur Web-Pix, Christopher a mis une superbe photo de la trace de son pied dans la neige. Je me suis demandé si j'avais déjà tenté une telle expérience. Après avoir vérifié l'état de santé de Chris, je me suis dit que j'allais peut-être tenter de le faire. Par bonheur, aujourd'hui, c'est jour de tempête, donc de belle neige fraiche, et j'ai dû fermer la librairie vers 3h. En rentrant, j'ai donc enlevé mes bottes et mes bas, me disant que si j'attendais, le courage me manquerait sûrement.

Pieds nus dans la neige de mon balcon, j'ai fait quelques pas. J'aurais voulu que la chaleur de mes pieds fasse fondre la neige pour faire un joli motif, mais elle était trop épaisse. Froid? Le mot est faible. GLACIAL!!!!! C'était tellement glacial que j'avais l'impression que mes deux pieds était devenus très plats et très durs... Je suis rentrée, j'ai jeté par terre un chaud moleton pour y placer mes pieds et j'ai fait des photos des traces de mes pieds à travers la vitre.

Cependant, je me suis rendu compte que les photos étaient bien ternes. Prenant mon courage à deux mains, je sortis pour une seconde fois, avec mon appareil photo. Il me fallait une preuve incontestable, connaissant mes amis de Web-Pix.


Yesterday, on Web-Pix, Christopher put a wonderful pic of his foot step in the snow. I was wondering if I ever did something like that. I asked Chris about his health after that experience, and I said to myself that I should try it. The chance was on my side because today is snow storm day, that means fresh snow, and I had to close the bookshop at 3 o'clock. After I came in, I took off my boots and my socks, telling me that if I waited more, I wont have the guts to do it.

I did some footsteps on the snow of my balcony. I was hoping that the heat of my feet would melt the snow, it would have done a nice picture, but the snow was too thick. Cold? Not exactly... I would say FREEEEEZZZZING! It was so freezing that I had the impression that my feet was tranformed into two very plain and very hard things. So I came in, put a warm blanket on the floor for my feet, and took some pics through the window.

But the pics was really dull. So, courageously, I went back in the snow with my camera and took a pic. I needed an indubitable proof, cause I know my Web-Pix friends...

Et ci-dessous, de sont les deux choses que j'ai faites juste après: bas chauds et café!!!
Underneath, those are the two next things I did: warm socks and coffee!!!

J'ai voulu vous montrer où je demeure. Certains d'entre vous reconnaîtrons l'église de l'autre côté de la rue. Je demeure au deuxième étage (au premier pour les Français). Pour prendre cette photo, je me suis placée vis-à-vis ma porte, et j'ai pris plusieurs photos, en me déplaçant à chaque fois. Ça fait un drôle d'effet. En réalité, la rue est bien droite!

I wanted to show you where I live. Some of you will recognize the church, on the other side of the street. I'm living on the second floor. To make that pic, I put myself in front of the door, then shoot many pics, changing point of view at each time. It makes a strange effect. But don't worry, the street is not curve like that! :O)

Comme un million de perles... Like a million of beads...

L'année dernière, je l'avoue, j'ai passé une fort mauvaise Saint-Valentin. Pour plusieurs raisons que je ne raconterai pas ici, j'étais dans l'attente... Mais en me baladant sur Blogger, j'ai vu des tas de gens avec leurs expériences, leurs vies, et j'ai réalisé que je m'étais repliée sur moi-même, sur mes petits malheurs, oubliant le plus important: la Saint-Valentin, c'est la fête de l'amour, pas seulement celle des amoureux, la fête où on attend de recevoir un coeur... mais surtout la fête où il faut donner...

Sur Blogger, depuis plus d'un an, j'ai rencontré des tas de gens, j'ai vécu de belles aventures, j'ai appris, j'ai évolué. Et si je n'ai pas été très présente ces derniers temps sur mon blog, ça ne veut pas dire que je ne pense pas à vous, au contraire! Pour moi, vous êtes comme des perles, différentes et semblables à la fois, mais toujours fascinantes à observer! Je vous aime tous!

Last year, I admit, I had a very bad Valentine's Day. For many reasons that I wont tell here, I was in the expectation... But then, when I went to see the other Blog, I saw many people with differents stories, differents lives, and I realized that I was closed on myself, on all my little problems, forgetting what was the most important: Valentine's Day is the celebration of love, not only the love of lovers, the one where we wait for receiving a card... but mostly a celebration to give love...

On Blogger, since more than a year now, I met a lot of people, I lived some beautiful adventures, I learned, I evoluated. If I was not here very often in the past month, it doesn't mean I didn't thought of you, on the contrary! For me, you are like beads, or pearls, all differents and all alike in the same time, but always fascinating to observe! I love you all!

Eh bien non, je ne suis pas disparue, j'étais tout simplement en vacances durant le mois de janvier, et j'en ai profité pour... faire du ménage! J'avais pas mal de ménage en retard, alors c'est la raison pour laquelle je suis si fière de vous montrer mon beau four tout propre! Il n'était pas très sale à l'intérieur, mais dessous... Quand j'ai tassé mon four, il y avait tellement un gros tas de poussière sur le plancher que j'avais l'impression que le motton allait se mettre à se déplacer tout seul et se rendre dans la poubelle sans mon aide... Ben quoi! On peut avoir des fantasmes de ménage, non? :O)

No, no, no, I did not disapear, I was just having a little month off in January, and I take that opportunity to do... housekeeping! I had a lot to do, and I was late in my housekeeping, that's the reason why I'm so proud to show you my beautiful and clean oven! It was not so dirty inside, but under... When I put the oven aside, there was such a big fluffy thing of dust on the floor that I was sure that big thing was going to walk by herself in the garbage can.... What! Isn't it possible to have housekeeping fantasy? :O)

Voici Neige!!!

A l'appartement, pas de chats ni de chiens! Nous avons seulement un jolie petite perruche qui porte le nom de Neige. Un oiseau, ça ne prend pas beaucoup de place, alors je n'en parle pas souvent. Mais j'adore qu'elle chante lorsque je fais la vaisselle...

In my apartment, no cats, no dogs! But we have a small budgie named Neige (that means Snow). A bird doesn't take much place, so that's probably the reason why I don't talk about her very often. One thing I like very much is that she's always singing when I do the dishes...

Ok! Now, I'm at my brother's house. I'm taking care of his dog, Coquin. Because I was working this week, I didn't had time to go on my own pc, so I didn't have access to my pictures... :O( But this week, I wont work, so I will have time to post... :O)

So, yesterday, I received a gift from my Godmother, and I thougt that would be nice to make a special Thanks on my blog. For Ritadaphné, me and my daughter in a Christmas ornament, that makes us looking funny...
... and a special thanks to my uncle Léopold who has sent me a beautiful calendar!

Et comme je ne peux résister à l'envie de vous en montrer quelques autres...

Jeudi dernier: notre maison de bonbons.Last Thursday: our candy house.

Tout d'abord, fabriquer la base en carton puis, coller le tout avec du ruban adhésif... Bon, voilà Gene qui prend la pose "pin-up"!

First, you'll have to make a cardboard house and put it together with some scotch tape... And here's Gene, taking a "pin-up" pose!


Après avoir fait le glaçage, qui servira de mortier, on place les biscuits, ici des langues de chats. Le tout donne un peu l'allure de murs de pierres.

After having made some icing, which will be used as some mortar, place the cookies, here's some thin crispy biscuits. It looks like stone wall. (The french name of those cookies means "cat's tongue". The box's text is mostly in french, the only English translation is really "thin crispy biscuits", and the German one is "Katzenzungen".)


Ensuite, il faut boucher les trous avec le glaçage... ça commence à faire joli. :O)
Then, you mask the cardboard with the icing... it's beginning to look cute. :O)




Et maintenant, la partie la plus amusante.... les BONBONS!
And now, the funny part..... the CANDIES!

Et oui, Gene prend tout cela en vidéo avec la nouvelle caméra qu'elle s'est acheté pour sa fête...

Gene a même fait un petit perron pour la porte... accueillant n'est-ce pas? Je parie que vous êtes jaloux!

Toupies.Spinning tops.

Ma mère m'a demandé d'envoyer à ma marraine Ritadaphné ses remerciements pour lui avoir envoyé de biens jolies toupies (pas sur ces vidéos). Elles se sont parlées au téléphone durant une heure l'autre jour, mais maman a oublié de parler des toupies. Alors voilà! Merci beaucoup, chère tante, de la part de maman.

J'en profite pour vous montrer quelques-unes des toupies de la collection de ma fille.


My mother asked me to send to my godmother Ritadaphné her thanks to have sent her some very nice spinning tops (not those on the videos). They talked on the phone for an hour or so, but my mom forgot about the tops. So, there it is! Thank you so much, dear aunt, from my mother.

J'aime bien celle-ci, elle est fabriquée par des artisans qui s'appellent "Les Guédines à Dédé".

I like that one, the name of the company who make those is "Les Guédines à Dédé"... don't ask me to translate... the only thing I can say is that a "guédine" could be anything you want...

Celui-ci était plus difficile à réussir, c'est pourquoi j'ai l'air si contente!

Mon frère et son nouveau cellulaire.My brother and his new cell phone.

Voici mon grand frère. Il s'est acheté un nouveau téléphone cellulaire qui peut prendre des photos, des films, etc... Moi, j'achèterai un cellulaire lorsqu'ils sauront préparer le déjeuner...

Sur la photo du cellulaire de mon frère, on voit son chien, Coquin le Cocker. Tout ça pour vous annoncer que durant le congé de Noël, c'est moi qui devra s'occuper de Coquin... Alors préparez vous, il y aura de la photo canine à partir du 25 décembre...

This is my big brother (yes, Calvin, my real one). He just bought a new cell phone that can take pics, films, etc... I will buy a cell phone the day it will be able to make breakfest...

There's a pic on the cell phone, and on the pic you can see my brother's dog, Coquin the Cocker. This is to announce that during Christmas Holiday, I will be the one to take care of Coquin... So prepare yourself, there will probably be a lot of dogs pics on this blog...

Hier, un peu de magasinage...Yesterday, a little shopping...

Hahaha! Non, je n'ai pas acheté de parfum pour homme... Toujours pas de mec dans ma vie... Je trouvais tout simplement ces bouteilles de parfum magnifiques! Et les couleurs...

Hahaha! No, I didn't buy any male perfume... There is still no man in my life... I just found those bottles and did some pics. Aren't they just magnificant! Oh, those colors...


Et le plus amusant, c'est qu'une des bouteilles se vend avec un petit kilt dans l'emballage! N'est-ce pas mignon? Édition limitée, c'est écrit... Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'homme dans ma vie... :O)

And the most amusing, one of those bottles is saled in a plastic box with a nice little kilt! Isn't that totally sooooooooo cuuuuuuuute? Limited edition, ...it's written... Too bad there's no man in my life... :O)
