Concours de flash.
Flash contest.

Last evening, our blogger friend JKirlin posted a very special pic. He made an achievement: he took a pic of a photographer photographying with a flash! Then he ask to his "gentle viewers" to try to do the same. I did that pic some weeks ago. I had just discovered something new on my camera. Not bad, Jeff, isn't it?

Thanks! I was experimenting "night scene" with my camera when my daughter Gene did a pic of herself with a flash. The result was interresting so I asked her to do it again. This one was the best and I checked, I made it at 4 sec. Of course it was very dark in the room...

What a great Mother-Daughter relationship. Flashing each other! :)

LOL! But in fact, there was only one flash, hers. I put my camera on a special effect call "night scene" witch give me the possibility to take pics at more than 1 sec. I think the max is 8 sec. I don't have the control on it but if it's very dark, it will work. The advantage is that the pic have less grain in it, but you need a tripod or a place to support the camera.

And yes, me and Gene have a great relationship! She was always asking to take pics with my camera so I proposed to buy one for her birthday. I paid a part and she gave the other with the money she had just received. So now, for example last Sunday, we went outside and made pics together. I love that! She's a very good student and learn very fast!

If you want to look at some of her pics, go on: lechatmasque.blogspot.com and you'll see her blog. Except for the bottom one(Merlin) and some internet images, it's all her pics! I didn't put a link on my blog because she's very young, I'm sure you understand, but you're welcome to put a comment, she will be pleased!

How adorable, Clo. As I said to Gene, can you imagine how much she'll know about blogging by the time she's MY age! HA!

LOL! Your comments are always so funny!
But the technology changes so fast that I think it's not even possible to imagine what it will be in 10 years! I think there will be more animation on blogs.
If somebody had told me 20 years ago that some day I would have a blog, I'm sure I had said: "Why should I put my pics on internet and communicate with people who are totally strangers?" HA! HA! HA! ...but I know there is still people who think that is strange... :O)

Tellement alors c'est une photo synchronisée d'exposition ?

Mes commentaires regardent toujours tellement plus intéressants en français ! LOL.

Clo a dit...

In fact, their no need to have synchronisation. My daughter was taking pictures of herself and I was experimenting my long exposure. My pic was made with 4 sec. exposure.
Cela donne un bel effet, n'est-ce pas?
